Wednesday is Prince Spaghetti Day! Most of us remember Anthony Martignetti being called by his mother “Anthony!” she yelled, and he ran through Boston’s North End, returning home to spaghetti, which became a tradition on Wednesday in Boston. This lecture deals with the history of spaghetti in Naples, Italy and how by the early 20th century there were many pasta manufacturers providing this staple food to Italian immigrants. One of the largest was Prince and it was both popular as well as successful, with their factory being in Spaghettiville. Please join us in welcoming Anthony Sammarco giving this exciting talk on this delightful tidbit of American history! This program will take place on Saturday January 10th at 1pm in the Main Meeting Room. For more information or to register for this program, please contact Amy Wolfe at awolfe@clamsnet.org or by calling the OVL directly at (508)428-5757 Registration is not required, however, Anthony Sammarco’s lectures are wildly popular and are expected to fill up fast!
