Join us to learn about the marine plants and animals you can find along the Cape shoreline—mollusks, crabs, horseshoe crabs, sponges, seaweeds, and more! This is a great trip for anyone who wants to share the wonders of the Cape’s beaches, salt marches, sand dunes and tide pools with kids and grandkids. Copies of Gil’s book, “Activities for the Cape Cod Beachcomber,” can be purchased at our website or giftshop for $10. Gilbert Newton has been teaching environmental and marine science at Sandwich High School and Cape Cod Community College for many years. He has served as the director of the Sandwich STEM Academy and the Advanced Studies and Leadership Program at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Gil was one of the founders of the Barnstable Land Trust, and is past president of the Association to Preserve Cape Cod. He is the author of several books about the Cape’s shoreline.
