Bundle Dyeing with Plants & Flowers

Sat, Sep 20, 12-2pm. LENGTH: 1 class, 2 hours LEVEL: all levels WHAT TO EXPECT: Learn about dyeing with natural materials and create a beautiful and unique scarf in this botanical printing bundle dye workshop! Using fresh flowers and leaves, you'll arrange them on fabric, carefully bundle them up, and then steam the bundle. Once it's cool enough, you'll unwrap it to reveal the prints and colors that the plants have transferred permanently onto the fabric. All materials are provided and each participant leaves with a work of art they can wear. EXTRAS: You'll go home with instructions to try botanical dyeing at home. DON'T FORGET: Dress to make art.
