“Cool Cars, Good Food & Great Stories” Father's Day Car Show Kickoff Party

The Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce is announcing a spectacular new
kickoff event to the 2025 Father’s Day Car show Weekend on Friday, June 13th showcasing two of the nation’s top automobile journalists, some great food, and a classic car cruise-in.
The Emerald Resort-Irish Village in Hyannis will host the event, “Cool Cars, Good Food & Great Stories” featuring a classic car cruise-in, delicious buffet, and conversations with Mecum Auto Auction TV personality Bill Stephens, and AAA’s “The Car Doctor” John Paul.
We’ll rev up the night starting at 5:30 p.m., with classic car owners invited to cruise into the parking lot at the Emerald Resort at 35 Scudder Ave., followed by a buffet inside the Emerald Resort-Irish Village at 6:30 p.m. This ticketed event is $25 per person, with all the proceeds going to support the yearly Father’s Day Car Show on Main St. in Hyannis. The $25 ticket includes the food buffet and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol will be available for purchase during the buffet.
The highlight of the evening will be a roundtable discussion with nationally known automotive journalists Bill Stephens and John Paul, hosted by Matt Pitta, Director of Communication with The Davenport Companies and long-time Cape Cod media personality.
Bill Stephens is a network television host and commentator specializing in automotive and motorsports presentations, which includes his role with Mecum Auctions as on-air commentator and host. He is a nationally published author of several motorsports books and a columnist for a number of automotive periodicals. He’s been featured as a host, commentator and automotive expert on CBS, NBC, ABC, ESPN, Fox, Fox Sports Net, The Discovery Channel, and more. In 1996, he wrote, produced, and narrated the award-winning documentary series "Wheels", aired on PBS affiliates
around the country.

John Paul, now in his 38th year at AAA, is a nationally recognized expert in automotive
technology and repair. He has been an automotive columnist for The Boston Globe and The Providence Journal for more than 25 years, and answers reader questions for NY Newsday and several other newspapers and websites. He’s been a host of a popular radio show in the Boston area for more than 30 years, regularly interviewing automotive executives and experts on new technology, safety features, and more. He has also been an ASE master technician for 40 years.
This new event will be a signature kickoff to a weekend of high-octane classic car activity on Cape Cod. The “Cool Cars, Good Food & Great Stories” event will be followed by the Cape Cod Classics Saturday Night Cruise at Patriot’s Square in Dennis… which all leads up to the BIG Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce Father’s Day Car show – now in its 31st year.
On Sunday, June 15 th , 350 cars will line Main Street in Hyannis, attracting more than 30,000 people to what has become one of the biggest and most popular yearly car shows in New England.
It all starts on Friday, June 13th with a night of big engines, big personalities, great food and great car talk. Cruise into the Father’s Day Car Show Weekend with our new signature event, “Cool Cars, Great Food & Great Stories” hosted by The Emerald Resort-Irish Village in Hyannis.
