DOWNTOWN HYANNIS 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION FREE DAYTIME FAMILY FUN & DINNERTIME ENTERTAINMENT Cape Cod’s Original Boat Parade Kicks Off at 3 PM Downtown Hyannis Main Street Live Music and Community Fun FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Hyannis, MA – June 18, 2025) Get ready for a full day of festive fun across Barnstable! After the morning parades and beach, be sure to head to Downtown Hyannis for a vibrant afternoon celebration featuring live music, street performances, family fun, and more — all starting and ending at the beautiful Hyannis Harbor. HYANNIS HARBOR BOAT PARADE 3:00 PM The Cape Cod Maritime Museum, Hyannis Marina, and the Hyannis Yacht Club present Cape Cod’s Own Original 4th of July Boat Parade. Boats will assemble off Hyannis Yacht Club and head to the inner harbor to show off their red, white and blue at approximately 3:00 PM before circling the inner harbor to show off their civic pride for the many hundreds of spectators that gather along the waterfront at Bismore Park and Gateway Marina. Prizes from local businesses will be awarded at the Aselton Park stage following the Parade. MAGIC SHOWS Look for Magician Darren Yong who will entertain the crowds with his mind bending craft at various locations throughout the day. 3:30 PM Bismore Park; 4:15 PM Harbor Overlook; 5:15 PM Outdoor Play Oasis at Hyannis Public Library; 6:00 PM Outdoors at 529 Main Street; 7:00 PM Top of Village Green at 367 Main Street. ASELTON PARK 4:00 – 9:00 PM The stage at Aselton Park is where the festival begins and ends! Power packed with a patriotic theme and live musical talent throughout the afternoon, the experience is sure to make memories that will last a lifetime. The line-up includes The Jody Moore Trio and then Alex Shillo’s Tribute to Bruce Springsteen will queue up the crowd before families depart for their evening plans. (Due to wildlife preservation efforts, the Town is no longer sponsoring fireworks.) VILLAGE GREEN 4:30 – 7:00 PM Families always look forward to free rides on the Roaming Railway around the brick path along the Walkway-to-the-Sea through the Village Green & Harbor Overlook. Live music on the bandstand includes local favorite rock duo Eric Short and Dan Lyons, followed by The Conspiracy of Noize. Families will find a community setting for picnics and lawn games, with special greetings from the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce; the Visitor Center will be open from 10 AM – 7 PM. MILE LONG MAIN STREET 5:00 – 9:00 PM Take a stroll and enjoy the live music, magic and festive fun at each block along the way, from Ocean to Sea Street. Check out the interactive map on your phone and look for the Locator Signs at each location with a QR Code that brings you right to the map so you can navigate easily to see all of the great local musicians, each with their own sound, from jazz to blues and beyond, plus DJs and other performers on every block. CULTURAL CENTER OF CAPE COD’S HYANNIS HYARTS CAMPUS Visit all the sites around the expansive space, both indoors and out, starting with the Art Barn on South Street! Crafts & family fun are at the Art Barn and be sure to visit the artists in the Sketch Pad. PARKING & TRANSPORTATION There are several municipal lots in downtown Hyannis where free parking is available for up to six hours. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) has hourly parking available (after the first 30 minutes free) at the Hyannis Transportation Center. Long-term parking is also available for daily rates.
