History on Tap: Carol Newman Cronin

Carol Newman Cronin is an author and 2004 Olympian who learned to sail in Woods Hole. Was she named after Hurricane Carol? We're not sure—but in 2010, she turned her father’s stories about riding out that 1954 storm into her second novel, Cape Cod Surprise. She will also talk about her first competitive sailing in Cape Cod Knockabouts, which eventually led her to compete in the Olympics.

$10 per person, $5 for members; IDs will be checked at the door for those sampling beer.

Cheese, crackers, water, and non-alcoholic beer options will also be available.

We highly recommend reserving your tickets on our website in advance. Popular events often sell out quickly, and we cannot always accommodate walk-ins. Don’t miss out—plan and secure your spot!

Sponsored by Cape Cod Beer! Join us to try three different varieties of brews: Blonde, Red, and IPA!
