Our guest speaker in March is Bill Sargent, a former consultant for the NOVA science television series and author of 27 books about science and the environment, including Crab Wars: A Tale of Horseshoe Crabs, Covid, and Human Health. Bill studied plankton as a research assistant at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and was the first director of the National Aquarium in Baltimore. He has taught science writing at Harvard University and worked on the status of horseshoe crabs in Pleasant Bay. For this webinar, Bill will discuss the wonders of the horseshoe crab found around Nantucket Sound.
