Hot Glass Workshop: Flameworked Beads with Carolyn Ferrell

Sat, Jul 19, 930am-4pm. Come to our brand-new hot glass studio on our Hyannis campus, Flameworks, for an exciting one-day introduction to lampworking, or the art of making beautiful glass beads. Artist Carolyn Ferrell will teach you the basics: safety fundamentals, flame control, stringer-making, and creating round forms. Using rods of borosilicate glass and bench-mounted flameworking torches, you'll learn to melt glass and form and shape it into unique glass beads. Member $200, Not-Yet-Member $220.
