Mind, Body and Spirit- Yoga for the Life Span with Diane Ofria

4 Thursdays, Oct 10-31, from 11am-12pm. This gentle yoga class will include work on the chair, on the mat, and standing. We will use props, such as blocks and straps, to explore and improve alignment, strength, and balance. There is always more than one way of doing a posture and there are a variety of modifications that can make the practice meaningful and attainable. As we age, our bodies offer new and sometimes overwhelming challenges. Yoga integrates mind, body, and spirit so that we can learn to be present for all the joys as well as the difficulties that our life has to offer. This class will focus on fostering mindfulness, flexibility, balance, strength, and a sense of play. The practice will bring awareness to physical changes and help develop a meaningful and lighthearted practice as a tool to stay vital and grow strong with grace. The class will be interactive, offer gentle modifications, and mindful breathwork throughout the practice.
