Songs, Stories, & Sea Chanties of Nantucket Sound
Save Our Sound continues its FREE monthly webinar series, "A Celebration of Nantucket Sound" (ACONS) with longtime Martha's Vineyard resident Mark Alan Lovewell, a folksinger, writer, and storyteller who has performed from coast to coast.
Mark sings sea chanties, with four CDs produced featuring songs and stories tied to his love of the sea. He is a descendant of a New England whaling family, a fisherman, conservationist, and advocate for all things nautical, from preserving our maritime heritage to caring for our waterfront communities. In this webinar, Mark will be sharing his love of Nantucket Sound through story and song with us.
