Steamboats & Ferries of Nantucket Sound

The Alliance's celebrated webinar series ACONS (A Celebration of Nantucket Sound) continues on Thursday, September 29 at 6pm with Elizabeth York, Executive Director of the Cape Cod Maritime Museum. Elizabeth will speak about the history of steamboats and transportation between the islands of Nantucket and Martha?s Vineyard. Hear about these steamers and ferries?a lifeline for the islands since the early 19^th-century?that plied Nantucket Sound, and learn about their engineering and design over the years.
