The Summer Solstice at Garde East

The summer will be here on Friday, June 21, and to mark the occasion, Garde East is planning a special evening. Guests can look forward to enjoying dishes from a special menu, then heading to our outdoor decks overlooking the harbor for after-dinner cocktails. The decks will provide prime viewing for the sunset, which begins at 8:30 PM. Then Mark Alan Lovewell, Martha’s Vineyard’s “Renaissance man”, will help explain the night sky by regaling stories of the history of the island, and the captains who depended on the stars for navigation. Mark will also serenade guests with classic folk songs and sea shanties to make the evening a truly unique – and truly “Martha’s Vineyard” – experience.
